The Color of Compromise by Jemar Tisby

Sundays, Sept. 27th to Oct. 25th, 9:15 - 10:15 a.m., via Zoom

At a time when racism in the U.S. is the topic of numerous commentaries and political protests, Jemar Tisby's award-winning book turns a spotlight on the Church, whose mission, presumably inspired by Jesus’s ministry, has been undercut by its historical failure to accept people of color as members, pastors, and allies in the practice and promulgation of the faith. For those interested in knowing more about the intersection of Christianity and democracy, this is a good place to start. The Color of Compromise is available in paperback and digital versions wherever books are sold.
