Meets Sundays, 4 p.m. on Zoom, January 10 - 31, 2021

Led by Dennis Damon Moore

A brief survey, with commentary, of some of the best and most memorable poems of worship, celebration, refuge, lament, and comfort in English. Poets to be featured will include William Shakespeare, John Donne, Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Robert Frost, E. E. Cummings, and Mary Oliver, as well as the lyrics of a number of favorite hymns. No literary background needed. The texts of all poems to be considered will be provided.
